    Research Collaborative on Youth Activism
   
   
Originally funded by the Ford Foundation in January 2004, the Youth, Communities and Social Justice Project has received additional funding beginning July 2006, and will continue as the Research Collaborative on Youth Activism. Principal Investigators include Julio Cammarota, BARA and Mexican American Studies; Shawn Ginwright, Cesar Chavez Public Policy Institute, San Francisco State University; and Pedro Noguera, NYU. The project will entail participatory action research projects among groups of youth in Tucson as well as San Francisco and New York. The collaborative brings together 21 scholars engaged in social justice research across the country.
